Henry sat in Gryffindor tower in front of the fire, bored out of his mind. He ran his fingers through his hair, then rubbed his eyes with the palms of his hands. After a few moments, Henry stood up quickly, startling a first year who had been diligently working on an essay. "Sorry," said Henry gruffly, shuffling up the stairs to his dorm. He changed from his school robes into more comfortable clothes before leaving his dorm and the common room all together. He traipsed down the stairs, not really with a destination in mind. He just let his feet carry him. Henry wasn't sure where his friends are, but he was pretty sure Ryan was off in Hogsmeade drinking. Henry didn't know what kept him from joining, but he hadn't. Henry pushed open the oak front door and let his feet carry him across the grounds. He had been feeling a bit bored lately, not knowing what to do with himself. He probably should have been doing some homework, but that just wasn't as interesting in doing something against the rules. He stopped at the edge of the forest, and stared at the dense trees. They towered over him, luring him into the forbidden depths. With no worries and a smirk, Henry pushed past the first layer of trees and shrubbery. He ran his hand through his hair again as he walked deeper and deeper into the forest. Henry paused after about 10 minutes of walking. He stood in a clearing surrounded by thick forest trunks. He looked up, the leaves rustling slightly in the wind. He sighed lightly, about to continue deeper when he heard a twig crack nearby. He whirled around, his eyes darting around nervously. He never got caught. His eyes fell on the other student, and narrowed. "Are you following me?"

"Yes, of course...because the world obviously revolves around you!" Jessa sarcastically confessed with a frustrated sigh and a shake of her head. "I could ask you the same thing since I was here first," she added, pointing to her belongings sitting in a neat pile on the edge of the clearing. "But no, because everyone always wants to know what the great Henry Watson is up to every time he sneaks out in the middle of the night!" she muttered, bending down and slipping the strap of her bag over her head before standing back up and meeting Henry's eyes. "Oh, don't look so surprised, Romeo. It's not exactly a secret," Jessa informed him, dropping her eyes to her bag and rummaging around for her sketch book. Finally locating it, she closed her bag with a definitive snap then stalked across the clearing, disappearing into the dark shadows of the trees without looking back.

Henry glared at the blonde girl, obviously taken aback by her rudeness. Then, the frown melted off his face and he shrugged. "It was an honest question, don't get your knickers in a twist," he said, rolling his eyes. Henry couldn't help but smirk as she continued to go off on him. "It's only nine, dearie. Not the middle of the night," he corrected playfully. "Besides, the sun hasn't even completely set yet!" He spun around, pointing out the sunlight filtering through the trees. He heard the girl rummaging behind him, and turned. But she had already set off deeper in the forest. "Hey, wait up," he said, following her. He grinned in the fading like-- one thing he did like to do was chase birds. The chase was the best part-- or at least he assumed. He never stuck around long enough.
"Ah." He snapped his fingers. "You're that spitfire quidditch captain. Jessie, right?" said Henry, quirking a brow. He kept up with her quick pace, pushing back tree branches and avoiding roots. "Besides, what in God's name would I be doing in the forest right now? Transforming into a werewolf?" He barked out a laugh. How preposterous. Though, he was curious. He didn't think people noticed his routine disappearances. Mostly he went up to the astronomy tower, but he fancied a change of scenery. He wondered what people thought of that. He waited, impatiently, for the answer.

Jessa stopped and turned abruptly when Henry called her "Jessie," nearly causing a collision with the boy. "It's Jessa!" she answered coldly. "Only my..." she started then stopped, closing her lips into a thin line before turning away. "Never mind," she muttered, continuing further into the forest. "What are you...stalking me anyways? I don't remember inviting you to come along," she added with a huff, narrowly avoiding a tree root as she made her way through the tricky undergrowth. Jessa glanced over her shoulder, peering up through the leafy canopy overhead. Half-frowning, she stopped and looked around then with a shake of her head, she turned and continued crashing noisily through the undergrowth. "You know, if you were transforming into a Werewolf, that would make you a bit more interesting right now," she called back to Henry without looking at him. She suddenly came to another abrupt halt and held out her right hand, indicating that Henry should stop. "Shhh," she cautioned, standing deathly still and immediately on full alert. TAG/Henry Watson

Henry almost walked into the short blonde girl when she stopped abruptly. He glared back at her. "You are a piece of work, aren't you," he said. He shrugged, and continued to follow her through the forest. "I can go wherever I want, I'm a student here too," said Henry childishly. "But you can call it stalking if you want, even though you're wrong." He stumbled over a tree root, but regained his balance and fell into step with Jessa.
"You should really drop the cold, hostile act. You'd be much more pleasant without it," he pointed out. Henry opened his mouth to defend himself from her snide comments when Jessa threw out her arm to silence and stop him. "You can't boss me around," he murmured heatedly, but shut up after that. She seemed to be listening intently to something. But Henry couldn't hear anything. After waiting for a few minutes, he sighed impatiently. "I don't-" but then he stopped. He did hear something now. He glanced at Jessa, simultaneously pulling his wand from his back pocket. Anything could be beat with a wand. He felt excitement prick at his fingertips, and felt a grin. Something unknown and dangerous? Just his cup of tea.

When Henry finally stopped talking, Jessa gave him a look that indicated she'd proven her point. When his face broke out into a grin, she rolled her eyes in exasperation but also pulled her wand. She had this overwhelming feeling that they were intruding upon something or someone and whomever...or whatever...it was, was not happy. All I wanted was a peaceful stroll through the forest in the dead of night - was that too much to ask? Jessa thought with a frown. She had a feeling that this impending altercation would not end well.
With a heavy sigh, Jessa looked up at Henry then with a dramatic sweep of her hands, she indicated that he should go first...being the gentleman he was after all.
