Name: Ryan James Cunningham
Nicknames: Ry, RJ
House: Gryffindor
Age/Year: Sixteen, sixth year
Birthday: 12th September
Birthplace: Portsmouth, England
Current Home: Leigh Park, Hampshire
Blood: Half blood
Sexual Orientation: Homosexual
Relationship Status: Single
Looks: At six foot one, he stands over a lot of people, and he makes sure he has his brown hair perfectly gelled and waxed every day before he leaves either his room or the dorms. His brown eyes compliment his hair and his pale complexion, which turns red during the Summer months when he is sunbathing.
Personality: Ryan has always been taught 'treat others how you would want them to treat you', he gives everyone a chance to make a good impression on him and he does his best at first impressions. Extremely caring, yet has an extremely dry sense of humour which he most likely inherited from his father. He doesn't care much for sports, except rugby, which is his calling. While he is usually a calm person and it takes a lot to anger him he does have a pretty disgustingly bitter streak when he needs to let it loose. His past has been warped by how vile towards others he can be when he wants to be. It would be fair to say it wouldn't be wise to get on his wrong side if someone wanted an easy life, he is amazing at digging deep and finding out peoples' secrets and using them against them. He would never go out and completely destroy someone, but just do enough to make them on edge for a while, or even paranoid.
Being quite outspoken has most definitely helped him with his confidence in the past, he used to be an extremely shy, timid little boy, but due to rugby and finding his voice, he has managed to become the person he is today. Opinions will always be voiced, whether or not they are the most popular ones that everyone would agree with. However, on the complete opposite side to this, while he is outspoken and confident, if the tables are turned and he is made to look like a complete fool he will go redder than a tomato before you could say 'gutted'.
Ryan has an image which would suggest he is into the most 'popular chart' music, which is so different from reality. He would sooner be found at a hardcore band gig throwing down or two stepping than at a Lady GaGa concert, he prefers local bands as he then knows he is supporting the band and his money is actually appreciated, anyway, local bands are always more interesting to him. Intimate gigs are where he believes the scene is at, none of this 'one thousand capacity' business. Small scale. His music taste is definitely more geared towards the muggle side of things; he can't stand half of the 'magical music' that they play on the wizard radio.
With a nurse for a mother who works on trauma, he has always been taught to care for people, trained in basic emergency first aid such as resuscitation, blood pressures, checking for signs of strokes, seizures, spinal injury care, etc. Just because he is a wizard, why shouldn't he look out for those who are different to him? He needs to try to fit into society. He takes pride in it; pride is one thing he values the most. If his pride is completely shot down, well, you may as well throw him off of a cliff. His life ambition is to join his mother on trauma, making a difference to people's lives, therefore he takes his studies seriously. The only issue with that is he's at Hogwarts, not in the muggle world. Like every other sixteen year old he will attend parties and drink, but as a self-set rule, only once all his homework is done to the highest standard he can manage. Hell, he's even hosted parties at his own house. It helps having young parents, right?

Dianne Cunningham - Mother, 46, muggle, university masters, muggle nurse.
Roger Cunningham - Father , 53, pure blood, N.E.W.Ts, unemployed. Stay at home husband.
Michael Cunningham - Brother, 14, half blood, student at Hogwarts.
Brief History: Dianne and Roger come from two completely different backgrounds and met through a mutual friend on a night out back in their 20's. They never spoke much after that, just the usual pleasantries whenever they bumped into each other through town, until the day that Roger took the leap of faith and asked her to go for coffee one day, things went from one thing to another and the eventually began dating, which turned into being together. A year and six months into their relationship, they finally moved in together, and Ryan was born when his mother was 30. Life was normal for a while until weird things began happening whenever Ryan got upset, his father knew exactly what was happening, his mother was freaking out. Doctors got involved, performing tests but oddly, their tests were getting lost, or doctors were forgetting what they were doing and about Ryan as a patient. Roger had been performing memory spells to keep it all a secret. Things died down for a while, for the best really, Roger's secret was safe that little bit longer.
Ryan was one and a half, his mother was pregnant again. This time, the pregnancy almost killed her and she had to have an emergency c-section to get the child out, the trauma seemed too much and she left, leaving Ryan, Michael and Roger alone, life was hard for their father bringing up two children and trying to manage their magical abilities while trying to convince them that they're living a normal life. Eventually, their mother got back in contact, Roger never got back with her but she did visit the children, but still couldn't understand what was going on. Roger confessed to her, then she disappeared again, not wanting to be involved with 'delusional freaks'. Life from there got normal again, then Ryan got his entry letter to Hogwarts. Getting sorted into Gryffindor was something he never expected after he spoke to his father about the different houses; he would have assumed he was more Hufflepuff material, but the sorting hat knows best as his father always said. His brother soon joined him at Hogwarts when Ryan was thirteen.
At the age of fourteen, he came out as gay to his friends at school, he lost a few, some stayed faithful, he expected this to happen, but what he didn't expect was his father to be as 'cool' with it as he was. He even went as far as telling the whole of the extended family all about it, who also all seemed to be more than happy with accepting it. Not long after he came out, his mother got back in contact with the family again, now she is part of the family once more, she lives about four roads away and is building up a good relationship with her two sons again, but everyone involved knows that it will take a while, there are definite trust issues involved, but they're all willing to give it a good go. He would never forget the day his aunt quizzed him over just about every single aspect of being gay that there was, it was almost torture. Ryan is now sixteen, his life has been pretty average for a wizard, he's stayed single all of his life but he lost his virginity to a muggle one night stand back in the summer just before this September came around.
Future Plans: Ryan's plans are to leave Hogwarts after his final exams and open a shop, preferably a shop specialising in pets for the fellow wizard and witch, or possibly looking at opening one for books specialising in transfiguration. Failing these plans come about, he is looking at a job in the ministry of magic, but he is unsure about which department he would go into.
