Brief History:Annelise burns was a young, ambitious girl, determined to become the youngest Minister for Magic ever. But she saw unspeakable crimes take place in the ministry she had thought was a shining beacon of light. The ministry was not as perfect as she had imagined. She immediately quit her high ranking position, and met David Rousseau, a curious reporter when he tried to find out why she left. While Annelise refused to answer questions for the Daily Prophet, the newly unemployed girl found herself attracted to the reporter, and he was equally entranced. The two went on a few dates, and their love blossomed quickly. Annelise was desperate to escape the country where she knew what was happening in the ministry, and asked David to flee with her. Trusting her judgement, he agreed, and the couple moved to a cottage on the outskirts of Marseille where they were wed, and started a new life. Annelise quickly discovered that she was pregnant, and with twins no less.
The beginning of the pregnancy was rough on the pair, as David was growing resentful of his wife for making him throw away a perfectly good job. He had left his whole life behind for a woman who would not share why she had to leave England. On a hot stormy night in June, David left Annelise, who was crushed. But it only took David 24 hours to come back, and realizing how much he meant to her, Annelise told him everything about the ministry. He decided it was a good reason to flee. Annelise convinced David that their children could never know that she had been a high ranking ministry official, that she was on the fast track to becoming Minister for Magic. They both knew that they would eventually have to return to England so their children could attend Hogwarts, but Annelise simply couldn't deal with anything concerning the ministry. They hid in the south of France for more than a decade, raising the twins, Margaux and Luke, then Ondine, who came seven years after the first two. All three children were aware of their magical heritage, but not of their mother's place in society. Finally, when the twins were about to turn 11, the family moved to Appleby, and they were enrolled in Hogwarts.
Luke and Margaux had their differences, but they were always very close. They told each other their secrets, they were each others best friends. But the summer before their seventh and final year at Hogwarts, something happened to test that bond and to send Margaux on a soul searching journey. When they had first moved to Appleby, Margaux didn't care to make friends. She knew that she would be going to Hogwarts anyways. But one girl practically forced her to be her friend. Her name was Annie. The two grew very close, and even exchanged mail while Margaux was at "her fancy boarding school in Scotland." In the summer before their final year, Annie had just gotten out of rehab for drug and alcohol problems, and begged to see Margaux. Margaux always felt as if Annie's problems were her fault-- she couldn't always be there for her best friend, so the numbing drugs were there instead. Annie had just dropped Margaux off at her house when she careened off the road, was ejected from her vehicle and died on impact. Margaux had been only minutes away from dying-- the thought still plagued her. She had raced to the site of the crash, and saw that the body had been thrown 30 feet into the bushes. Not caring to see the gory details, Margaux had rushed to the nearest house and called for an ambulance.
She didn't cry once that night.
Margaux was numb for some time after that. Her thoughts were muddled, her responses even more so. Her intelligence didn't fade, but it dulled into the background. She tried to forget. But healing only came with help from someone very special to her. Noah. Her beacon of light, her knight in shining armor. Her savior.
Future Plans: To work in the ministry of magic to make it less corrupt-- she is exactly like her mother in her ambition.
