within the lower levels of the castle you will find the illuminous great hall, the library, staff room as well as many classrooms including elemental magic, charms, mythology and occlumency

the upper levels of the castle play host to the hospital wing, prefects lounge, trophy room and the headmistresses office, as well as the classrooms for dueling and defense against the dark arts

the forbidden forest is home to many magical creatures, both docile and dangerous. students are forbidden to visit the forest, except on the occasion when given direct permission.

the gardens were planted in memoriam to those who fought and died in the first and second great wizarding wars. the plantlife, both magical and muggle, is amazing to witness at any time of day or night

the greenhouses play host to a variety of magical plants, from docile, to medical to extremely dangerous. herbology class is also held in the different greenhouses.

the black lake stretches on the eastern side of the castle, and is the path all first year students take when first arriving at hogwarts. swimming is allowed in the shallower waters, as many water creatures live in the depths.

a quaint little village with rows of shops, cafes and restaurants. students third year and above are allowed to visit during specified weekends; it is also home to several professors and staff members of the school.

the expansive train station in muggle london where students can find platform 9 3/4, which'll take them to the hogwarts express

a shady alley off of diagon alley that sells dark magic items. only venture there if you think you can handle it.

the british ministry of magic headquarters. many graduates of hogwarts end up working here, or interning over the summer holidays in preparation for a career.

st mungos hospital, where serious magical maladies and illnesses are treated and taken care of. there are several permanent wards for those with incurable illnesses or maladies.
